About these terms
The following Terms and Conditions apply to your use of SplendidPsyche, which can be accessed at www.splendidpsyche.com. When you use the website, you are agreeing to comply with these terms. If you do not wish to do so, you should cease using the website.

The website is operated by:

If the website later introduces paid services, memberships, courses, events, products, donations, or accounts, then these terms should be altered.

Permitted use
You can access and read the website for personal, educational, spiritual, and non-commercial purposes solely if you are acting lawfully, unless we grant written permission for any other use.

You must not:

Do not use the website for any purpose that is illegal, fraudulent, abusive, threatening, or harmful.

Try to gain unauthorised access to the website, server, accounts, or data.

Install malware, harmful code, or dangerous material.

You must not scrape, copy, republish, sell, or use the content for any commercial purpose without permission.

Disrupt the website’s functioning or its security.

Take on the role of some other person or organisation.

Do not use the website to harass, exploit, groom, threaten, or target children or vulnerable people.

Send in material which violates the rights of someone else.

We have the right to suspend or restrict access if we reasonably consider that these terms have been breached.

Content and Christian viewpoints
The site includes Christian messages, material related to the Scripture, testimonies, opinions, and contributions from various people, and we do not necessarily agree with every interpretation, expression, recommendation or personal conclusion found on the website.

People should use their own judgement and take into account the advice given to them by their church leaders, by qualified professionals, by their parents, guardians, carers, or by any other suitable advisers.

We never state that the website expresses the doctrine, policy, or position of a particular denomination unless this is explicitly stated.

Comments and community interaction
You agree that your comments will be respectful, relevant, legal, and appropriate for the audience if the comments feature are enabled.

We may remove or refuse comments that contain:

Speech hatred, threats, harassment, bullying, or abusive language.

Sexual content or material that takes advantage of others.

Information concerning a different person.

Unverified accusations or defamatory claims.

Spam, advertisements, scams, or harmful links.

Content which encourages self-harm, violence, crime, or risky behaviour.

This content is not suitable for children or young people.

Substances that violate copyright, privacy, or the rights of another person.

Comments can be moderated either before or after they are published. We cannot assure that all comments will be published, and the fact that a comment is published does not mean that we agree with it.

You should not publish either your own or that of another person’s address, telephone number, school, place of work, health information, password, or any other confidential details.

Submitted testimonies and materials
If you submit a testimony, article, photograph, video, audio recording, prayer request, or other material, you confirm that:

You can hand it in.

It has no intentional inclusion of illegal, defamatory, or misleading material.

You got permission from the people you can see in it.

Parental or guardian permission has been obtained where it is required.

You have not put in any unnecessary confidential or sensitive information.

You must realise that sending something electronically does not ensure that it will remain confidential.

SplendidPsyche is given a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence—this licence can be revocable or irrevocable—to review, edit, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, and archive the material via the website, the newsletter, social media, printed materials, and video channels.

If you do not wish for this licence to apply, then do not send us the material or get in touch with us prior to sending it in order to ask for a written agreement.

We are allowed to make changes to the submissions for reasons such as spelling, length, clarity, safeguarding, privacy, or legal concerns. We can anonymise names and other identifying information. However, we cannot promise that the submissions will be published.

Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, any articles, graphics, logos, videos, layouts, and other original content produced for SplendidPsyche are the property of ours or have been used with permission.

You may share a link to an article and quote a reasonable extract for non-commercial purposes, provided that:

The quotation is accurate.

The blog and its original author are given credit.

The original page can be found by clicking on the link.

The quotation is not given as being your own.

The quotation is not employed in a misleading, defamatory, or offensive context.

Before you reproduce substantial sections of an article, download and redistribute protected media, or use our branding for commercial purposes, you must get written permission.

Material provided by third parties still belongs to its original owners.

External links
The site might contain links to other websites or services. We do not accept any responsibility for their content, for their availability, for their security, for their privacy practices, for their terms or for the advertising they may display or the way they operate.

You shouldn’t set up a link that implies there is sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement unless you have written permission.

Availability and accuracy
Our aim is to make the website remain available and useful, but we cannot guarantee that access will be uninterrupted, that the content will be free of errors, or that any particular page will always be available.

Information can become out of date. We might correct it, update it, replace it or take it down at any time.

Liability
The terms do not exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, such as liability arising from negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or other protected rights and causing death or personal injury.

Provided that limitation applies and so far as the law allows, we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage resulting from reliance on the content of the website, on other websites, on the material submitted, on interruptions, technical difficulties, or on unauthorized access beyond what is reasonably within our control.

Privacy
The Privacy Policy sets out the way in which we deal with personal information, and the Cookie Policy deals with cookies and similar technologies. When you use the interactive features, you agree that the information may be processed as set out in those policies.

Changes
We are free to alter these terms by posting an updated version on this page, and the date of the update will indicate when the changes were made.

Governing law
The law of Scotland applies to these terms and the courts in our jurisdiction will have jurisdiction, provided that any mandatory rights which you may have under the applicable law are taken into account.
