God Has to Do Something
God has to do something is a prayer born out of desperation; it is a prayer of someone who has waited long enough. It is a cry of the hopeless, the groaning of a broken hearted who has done all things possible to see changes, but all were to no avail.
Jesus commanded us to pray effectively for a change using the parable of the widow, and the unjust judge to draw our attention on the possibility power of God through persistent prayer.
Prayer works, and it remains the strongest weapon in the hands of believers.
God has to do something when shame is approaching and the future is bleak. God has to step in when all efforts fail to yield expected results, and mockery is knocking at every junction. God has to show up when all medical reports show that nothing is wrong but the person in question is dying in excruciating pains.
God has to do something when no help, no hope, no support from anywhere is available, yet there are outrageous bills stirring at your face. God has to do something when one is at the cross road or faced with a complicated case. As a counsellor, I have heard some cases in the counselling room or via phone call that left me perplexed; so complicated and hard to believe, but in all those cases God usually proves Himself strong.
Few months ago I got a call from a woman in a state of despondency and frustration; she has been in the battle of childlessness for years, in the process of searching for a solution, she was referred from a hospital in the United Kingdom to visit a specialist in Turkey. According to her, after all the examinations the doctor told her that there was no hope of having any child; the only two remaining eggs in her ovary are dead. The doctor told her plainly, if you know God, call God now. I took up the case and went to God seriously in prayer. I assured her that God will put life in those two remaining eggs. To my amazement God proved Himself; she is pregnant with twins right now.
The Almighty God is capable of doing anything for us. He is God of wonder. Embrace Him today, and make Jesus your Lord and personal saviour. All mountains shall become your height of glory in Jesus name.
